 View All Diary Entries HereApril 15, 2003Losing My MotherOne thing we never expected to be part of our journey was losing my mother. On Saturday, April 5, my mother died suddenly. We got a phone call from my brother Sunday morning at 7:15 A.M. We were in the Camargue and had to make our way to Marseille and then Paris, finally to Batesville, Arkansas. Her death was a terrible shock and a terrible loss for us. We're currently in Arkansas in the house where I grew up surrounded by my mother's and my family's life for over 40 years. We'll soon be returning to France, and our adventure will continue. I'll write more about this later, but this is all for now--except that I will miss her forever.
